Zelensky Says “Best” Conversation Yet With Trump At White House

Washington : U.S. President Donald Trump has said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is “doing pretty well” in the ongoing war against Russia, offering a cautiously positive assessment of Ukraine’s battlefield position and leadership.

Speaking during recent comments on the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Trump acknowledged Ukraine’s continued resistance and described its performance in the war as strong, despite the prolonged fighting and heavy military pressure from Moscow.

According to reports, Trump noted that Ukraine has been able to hold its ground in several areas, while also emphasizing the importance of continued diplomatic efforts to bring the war to an end. His remarks come amid ongoing international discussions on how to manage the conflict and push toward a possible peace settlement.

The statement follows a series of diplomatic engagements between Trump and Zelensky, including recent meetings at international forums where Ukraine’s military situation and future security guarantees were discussed. Trump has in recent months shifted between expressing skepticism about Ukraine’s long-term prospects and acknowledging its resilience on the battlefield.

Zelensky, meanwhile, has continued to seek stronger Western support, particularly in the form of military aid and long-term security commitments, as Ukrainian forces continue to face sustained Russian attacks.

The Russia-Ukraine war, now in its fourth year, remains one of the most significant global security crises, with ongoing fighting, drone strikes, and shifting diplomatic positions among major world powers.
