Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin has acknowledged that Russia is going through a difficult phase as the war with Ukraine continues. He said the country is facing serious challenges but remains determined to overcome them through national unity and government efforts.

Addressing a public event, Putin said Russia has come under immense pressure due to the ongoing conflict and Western sanctions. However, he asserted that the country’s economy and industrial base have remained resilient despite the challenges.

The Russian President stated that the military operation in Ukraine is continuing in line with its objectives and that the armed forces are taking all necessary steps to safeguard Russia’s national security. He emphasized that the government is working to strengthen the economy, defense sector and critical infrastructure.

Putin also urged Russian citizens to remain united during this difficult period, saying that national solidarity is the country’s greatest strength in times of crisis. He expressed confidence that Russia would emerge stronger after overcoming the present challenges.

The Russia-Ukraine war, which began in February 2022, continues with no immediate sign of a resolution. In recent months, both sides have intensified drone and missile attacks, further escalating the conflict.
