Desk : Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was diagnosed with early-stage prostate cancer around 18 months ago, which was successfully treated, according to his recent annual health examination report.
As per the report, during a routine medical check-up, doctors detected a very small tumor in the prostate, measuring less than one centimeter. Further examinations confirmed it as an early-stage cancer that had not spread to other parts of the body.
Netanyahu underwent targeted radiation therapy for treatment, after which his condition returned to normal. Doctors have confirmed that there are no remaining signs of cancer and he is now fully healthy.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Netanyahu delayed making this information public to avoid any political or diplomatic misuse of his health condition.
It has also been reported that in 2024, he underwent surgery for another prostate-related medical issue, following which routine monitoring led to the detection of the early-stage cancer.
At present, Benjamin Netanyahu is carrying out his official duties normally, and his health is reported to be stable.
