Indian-American Ravi Chaudhary nominated by Joe Biden to key position in Pentagon

Washington: US President Joe Biden has announced his intent to nominate Indian-American aerospace and defence expert Ravi Chaudhary to a key position in the Pentagon, the White House has said.

A former US Air Force officer and pilot, Chaudhary was on Thursday nominated for the position of the assistant secretary of the Air Force for Installations, Energy and the Environment.

He needs to be confirmed by the United States Senate before he can be sworn in for this key Pentagon position.
