Desk : Amid escalating tensions between Iran and Israel and a deteriorating security situation in West Asia, India has issued a strong travel advisory for its citizens. The Indian Embassy in Tehran has urged Indian nationals to avoid all non-essential travel to Iran and advised those already present in the country to leave at the earliest through safe and coordinated routes.

Embassy issues fresh warning

In its latest advisory, the Indian Embassy stated that the regional security environment remains highly sensitive and unpredictable. The situation, it warned, could worsen further without notice. In view of these risks, Indian citizens have been strongly advised to postpone or cancel any planned travel to Iran.

The embassy has also advised Indians currently in Iran to make arrangements to exit the country through safe and coordinated means, in consultation with authorities.

Rising regional instability

The ongoing tensions between Iran and Israel have contributed to instability across West Asia, prompting several countries to issue travel advisories for their citizens. India’s advisory is part of broader precautionary measures taken to ensure the safety and security of its nationals abroad.

Officials said the situation is being closely monitored, and further updates or instructions may be issued depending on developments in the region.

Advisory for Indian nationals

The embassy has urged Indian citizens in Iran to remain vigilant, avoid spreading or relying on unverified information, and stay in regular contact with the embassy for official updates and assistance.

The Ministry of External Affairs has previously issued multiple advisories regarding travel to Iran, emphasizing caution due to the volatile security environment.
