He stated that the security of international sea routes is not the responsibility of any single nation but a shared duty of the entire world.
In the presence of US President डोनाल्ड ट्रंप, PM Modi highlighted that the world today is facing not only a shortage of resources but also a growing trust deficit. He stressed that global cooperation can only be effective when it is built on trust and transparency.
India’s Stand on Maritime Security
PM Modi noted that a significant portion of global trade is conducted through sea routes, making their security extremely important. He said sailors form a crucial link in the global trade ecosystem, and ensuring their safety is the collective responsibility of all nations.
He further added that rising tensions and disruptions in maritime regions directly impact global supply chains and economic stability.
Concern Over Global Conflicts
Referring to recent global conflicts and tensions, the Prime Minister expressed concern over the loss of innocent lives. He also indicated incidents that have affected Indian citizens, including sailors working in international waters.
He reiterated that lasting solutions to global crises can only be achieved through dialogue, diplomacy, and cooperation. India, he said, continues to follow the principle of “humanity first” in its global approach.
