Desk : A sensation has gripped a locality in Bangladesh after the body of a Hindu temple caretaker was found hanging from a tree. Police have launched an investigation into the incident to determine the exact cause of death.
According to information, the deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Nayan Sadhu, a resident of Dohazari in Chattogram district. He was working as a caretaker and priest at a Shiva-Kali temple located in the Khurushkul area of Cox’s Bazar district.
Local sources said that Nayan Sadhu went missing on the evening of April 19. His family and locals searched for him but could not find any trace. A few days later, his body was discovered hanging from a tree in a hilly area.
Police reached the spot soon after being informed and sent the body for post-mortem examination. Officials said that it is too early to conclude whether it is a case of suicide or murder, and the exact cause will be determined after the post-mortem report and further investigation.
Authorities have stated that all possible angles are being examined and statements are being recorded from locals and people in the surrounding area.
Meanwhile, the incident has triggered concern among the local Hindu community, with representatives demanding a fair and thorough investigation along with strict action against those responsible.
Police have assured that the case is being treated with seriousness and that the truth will be uncovered soon.
