Desk : Lahore, Pakistan: Aamir Hamza, a senior leader and co-founder of the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), was critically injured after unidentified assailants opened fire on him in Lahore, Pakistan.
According to reports, the incident took place outside a news channel office when Hamza was present at the location. The attackers suddenly opened fire and escaped from the scene immediately after the attack.
Hamza was rushed to a nearby hospital, where his condition is reported to be critical.
Aamir Hamza is considered a key ideological figure of Lashkar-e-Taiba and has played an important role in the organization’s propaganda and fundraising network. He is known to be a close associate of LeT founder Hafiz Saeed and has been associated with the group’s recruitment and ideological operations for years.
The incident comes amid a series of attacks targeting individuals linked to militant groups in Pakistan in recent months. Security agencies have launched an investigation, but no group or individual has claimed responsibility so far.
Authorities have not yet confirmed the identity of the attackers or the motive behind the shooting, raising further questions over security conditions in the region.
