Saphala Ekadashi 2025: Date, Muhurat, Puja Vidhi & Remedies

In Hindu tradition, Saphala Ekadashi holds great spiritual significance. Observed once a year, this sacred fast is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Devotees worship him with complete devotion and observe a day-long fast. It is believed that by keeping the Saphala Ekadashi vrat, sins are destroyed and divine blessings increase in life.
Here are the details for this year—date, muhurat, puja method, and special remedies.

When is Saphala Ekadashi in December 2025?

According to the Hindu Panchang:

  • Ekadashi Tithi Begins: 14 December 2025, 06:49 PM
  • Ekadashi Tithi Ends: 15 December 2025, 09:19 PM

Based on the Udaya Tithi, Saphala Ekadashi will be observed on 15 December 2025 (Monday).
The Parana (breaking of the fast) will be done on the next day—16 December 2025.

  • Parana Muhurat: 07:07 AM to 09:11 AM
  • Dwadasi Ends: 11:57 PM

Puja Vidhi (Worship Method)

  1. Take a morning bath and clean your home temple.
  2. Begin by offering prayers to Lord Ganesha.
  3. Perform abhishekam of Lord Vishnu with Panchamrit and Ganga water.
  4. Offer yellow sandalwood paste and yellow flowers to the deity.
  5. Light aghee lamp and recite the Saphala Ekadashi Katha.
  6. Read the Shri Vishnu Chalisa with devotion.
  7. Perform the aarti of Lord Vishnu.
  8. Offer bhog along with Tulsi leaves.
  9. Conclude the worship with a prayer for forgiveness.

Special Remedies

  • Observe the Saphala Ekadashi fast with full devotion to please Lord Vishnu.
  • Offer jaggery (gur) and split Bengal gram (chana dal) as bhog.
  • Offering a turmeric root (haldi gatha) brings auspicious results and divine blessings.
