Desk : Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed serious concern over the growing tensions between the United States and Iran, warning that any war against Iran would become an “extremely difficult and dangerous conflict” with consequences extending far beyond West Asia.
Putin stated that Russia has not found any concrete evidence suggesting that Iran is pursuing nuclear weapons. He emphasized that diplomacy and dialogue should be given priority over military action in the current situation.
The Russian President warned that any escalation into war could deepen instability across West Asia and severely impact the global economy and energy markets. According to Moscow, all sides must avoid steps that could further intensify tensions in the region.
Meanwhile, the United States and its allies continue to raise concerns over Iran’s nuclear programme. Western nations allege that Tehran may be attempting to develop weapons capability under the cover of its nuclear activities. However, Iran has consistently denied the allegations, maintaining that its nuclear programme is solely for peaceful purposes.
Russia has once again cautioned that failure to control the situation could lead to a wider regional conflict. Moscow has urged all parties to exercise restraint and seek a resolution through dialogue and negotiations.
