In Hinduism, Pradosh Vrat is considered highly sacred and auspicious. This fast is dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. It is believed that observing Pradosh Vrat with devotion brings peace, prosperity, and happiness into one’s life. The fast is observed twice a month on the Trayodashi tithi.
Devotees observe a day-long fast and perform special prayers during the evening, known as Pradosh Kaal. The vrat concludes after performing the rituals of the Shiva family properly. Auspicious Time for Bhoum Pradosh Vrat:
Trayodashi tithi begins on 28 April at 6:51 PM and ends on 29 April at 7:51 PM. The Pradosh Kaal for this fast is from 7:00 PM to 9:14 PM, and worship during this period is considered highly beneficial.

Pradosh Vrat Puja Procedure
- Take a bath in the morning and maintain cleanliness throughout the day.
- Follow a sattvic diet or fruit-based diet while fasting.
- During the evening Pradosh Kaal, perform the Shivling Abhishek with water, milk, honey, and Ganga water.
- Offer red flowers, dhatura, and bilva leaves.
- Chant Shiva mantras during the puja and conclude with aarti with a lit lamp.
