Canada’s vaccine woes
If the world managed to conquer the Covid-19 pandemic, it would be significantly because of India’s tremendous pharmaceutical capacity, Canadian PM Trudeau told Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Trudeau also praised the PM’s leadership in sharing this capacity with the world.

“We also agreed to continue collaborating on other important issues like Climate Change and the global economic recovery,” the PM went on to add.

According to the PMO, PM Modi and Trudeau also discussed several geo-political issues. They also agreed to continue the close collaboration between India and Canada in fighting global challenges like Climate Change and the economic impacts of the coronavirus pandemic.

“The leaders looked forward to meeting each other in various important international fora later this year, and continuing their discussions on all issues of mutual interest,” the PMO said in its release.

Relations between the two countries were sparked after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s made remarks about farmers’ protests against new agricultural laws in India.
