London: A People’s Tribunal has been set up in London to hear China’s atrocities on Uighur Muslims. Many victims are coming to this tribunal to testify on atrocities and they are giving information about concentration camps. The tribunal’s chairperson, Sir Geoffrey Nice, said more than three dozen witnesses had turned up in the four-day trial. All of them have levelled serious allegations against Chinese officials. The Tribunal has neither the support of the UK government nor China. It also has no authority to punish, but organizers say public evidence from witnesses at hearings will compel institutions to take international action.
