New Year Special Soft Carrot Laddoo Recipe at Home

The New Year is not merely a change of date—it is a celebration of fresh beginnings, renewed hopes, and heartfelt resolutions. In Indian homes, welcoming a new year is considered incomplete without something sweet, for sweetness symbolizes positivity, prosperity, and togetherness. And when that sweetness comes from a homemade delicacy, the joy becomes even more meaningful.

In this spirit of celebration, Soft Carrot Laddoos make for a perfect New Year treat. Gentle in texture, rich in flavor, and nourishing in nature, these laddoos are loved by children and elders alike.

Ingredients

  • Carrots – 1 kg (grated)
  • Full-cream milk – 1 cup
  • Pure ghee – 4 to 5 tablespoons
  • Mawa (khoya) – 200 grams (grated)
  • Sugar – ¾ cup (adjust to taste)
  • Cardamom powder – ½ teaspoon
  • Cashews and almonds – finely chopped
  • Raisins – 1 tablespoon

Method

Begin by heating ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan. Add the grated carrots and sauté on medium heat, stirring continuously until the raw aroma disappears and the carrots release a pleasant fragrance.

Pour in the milk and allow the mixture to cook on low heat until the milk is absorbed and the carrots soften completely. Add the grated mawa and mix well, allowing it to blend smoothly into the mixture.

Now add sugar and stir continuously. The mixture will loosen initially as the sugar melts, but soon it will thicken again and begin to leave the sides of the pan. Add cardamom powder, chopped nuts, and raisins, and cook for a few more minutes.

Once the mixture cools slightly, grease your palms with a little ghee and shape it into soft, round laddoos.

A Perfect Blend of Taste and Nutrition

These soft carrot laddoos are not just delightful in taste but also rich in nutrition. The goodness of carrots combined with milk, ghee, and dry fruits makes them an ideal festive sweet—light on the stomach yet deeply satisfying.

A Sweet Message for the New Year

More than just a dessert, these carrot laddoos carry warmth, care, and good wishes for loved ones. Shared around the dining table, they transform the New Year into a moment of togetherness and joy.

This New Year, let your kitchen spread sweetness, health, and happiness.
