Desk : India has taken a significant step regarding illegal Bangladeshi immigrants, with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) sharing a list of 2,680 suspected illegal Bangladeshi migrants. The list has reportedly been sent to Bangladesh for verification of nationality and further repatriation procedures.
According to reports, the move is part of India’s broader crackdown on illegal immigration and cross-border infiltration. Several states are actively identifying individuals residing in the country without valid documentation.
Sources indicate that the verification process between India and Bangladesh is currently underway, after which further action—such as deportation or confirmation of legal status—will be taken.
Experts suggest that this development is an important step toward strengthening border management and bilateral security cooperation between the two countries.
