Washington/New Delhi: India has emerged as one of the most profitable overseas markets for US President Donald Trump’s business empire, according to his latest financial disclosure. The official filing reveals that the Trump Organization earned more than $10 million from its real estate branding and licensing business in India during the reporting period, with Gurugram contributing the largest share of the revenue.
According to the financial disclosure, Trump-branded luxury real estate projects in Gurugram generated approximately $3.6 million in income. The company also received significant earnings from projects located in Mumbai, Pune, Noida, Kolkata, and Hyderabad, reflecting the growing demand for luxury developments associated with the Trump brand in India.
The Trump Organization does not directly construct properties in India. Instead, it partners with local real estate developers through branding and licensing agreements. Under these arrangements, developers pay licensing fees and other charges for the use of the Trump brand on premium residential and commercial projects.
The disclosure indicates that India has become one of the company’s most lucrative international markets. In addition to India, the Trump Organization reported substantial income from branded real estate projects in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, and several other countries.
The financial filing also shows that Trump’s business interests extend beyond real estate, with income generated from golf clubs, hotels, digital assets, cryptocurrency-related ventures, and other commercial investments. However, India continues to be one of the strongest contributors to the company’s overseas real estate earnings.
