Chocolate ice cream is a favorite treat for everyone, but when made at home using natural and nutritious ingredients, its charm doubles. In this recipe, we’ll prepare a rich and creamy chocolate ice cream using milk and dry fruits, loved by both children and adults alike.

Ingredients:

  • Full cream milk – 1 liter
  • Condensed milk – 1/2 cup
  • Dry fruits – 1/2 cup (cashews, almonds, pistachios – finely chopped)
  • Cocoa powder – 3 tablespoons
  • Sugar – 1/4 cup (adjust according to taste)
  • Vanilla essence – 1 teaspoon

Method:

  1. Soak the Dry Fruits:
    Soak the dry fruits in lukewarm water for 30 minutes. This softens them, allowing them to blend smoothly into the ice cream.
  2. Boil the Milk:
    In a large pan, heat the milk on medium flame until it comes to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10–12 minutes to thicken it slightly.
  3. Add Cocoa Powder:
    Gradually whisk in the cocoa powder into the warm milk to avoid lumps.
  4. Add Condensed Milk and Sugar:
    Stir in the condensed milk and sugar, mixing well. Cook on medium heat for 2–3 minutes to combine flavors.
  5. Add Dry Fruits and Vanilla Essence:
    Drain and add the soaked dry fruits along with vanilla essence. Mix well so the dry fruits are evenly distributed.
  6. Cool and Freeze:
    Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature. Transfer to an airtight container and freeze for 6–8 hours or overnight.
  7. Serve:
    Remove the ice cream from the freezer and let it soften slightly for 5 minutes. Scoop and serve. Garnish with extra dry fruits or chocolate syrup if desired.

This homemade chocolate ice cream, enriched with milk and dry fruits, is not only delicious but also wholesome and nutritious.
