Yogini Ekadashi 2025: Fast, Faith, and Liberation

In Sanatan Dharma, Ekadashi holds special religious importance. Two Ekadashi fasts occur every month—one during the Shukla Paksha and one during the Krishna Paksha—and both are dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The Ekadashi that falls in the Shukla Paksha of the Phalguna month is known as Amalaki Ekadashi. This year, it will be observed on February 27 (Friday).

It is believed that observing this fast with devotion and sincerity brings the blessings of Lord Vishnu. Devotees believe that stalled work progresses smoothly and obstacles related to career and marriage are removed.

Religious Significance of Amalaki Ekadashi

Amalaki Ekadashi is observed on the Ekadashi tithi of the Shukla Paksha in the month of Phalguna. It is also popularly known as Rangbhari Ekadashi in some regions.
