Dubai: Two Indian Ayurvedic doctors have received the UAE’S coveted Golden Visa, according to a media report on Saturday. Dr Shyam Vishwanathan Pillai and Dr Jasna Jamal were granted Golden Visas by the UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA).
While Dr Pillai was granted the Golden Visa on June 17, Dr Jasna Jamal was given the Golden Visa on June 24.
“Ayurveda got recognised as an (alternative) medicine treatment in UAE in 2002, under the department of Traditional Complementary and Alternative Medicine of the Ministry of Health,” said Pillai.
Jasna Jamal extends her thanks to the authorities for giving importance to the Ayurvedic practices.
The Golden Visa allows foreigners to live, work and study in the UAE for a long period without the need of a national sponsor and with 100 per cent ownership of their businesses there. These visas are issued for five or 10 years and renewed automatically.
