Desk : Tensions between the United States and Iran have escalated sharply after former US President Donald Trump Donald Trump issued a strong warning to Tehran, saying that Iran must move toward an agreement or face severe military consequences. Trump reportedly stated, “Make a deal, or we will bomb.”
According to American media reports, Washington is intensifying pressure on Iran over its nuclear activities and growing military influence in the Middle East. The Trump camp believes that Iran’s actions are posing a serious threat to regional stability and international security.
Reports suggest that the United States wants Iran to accept stricter controls on its nuclear programme and allow broader international monitoring. In return, there could be limited relief in economic sanctions imposed on Tehran. However, Iran has rejected what it calls “pressure-based negotiations” and refused to accept conditions imposed under threats.
In a message posted on social media, Donald Trump said that military confrontation could still be avoided if Iran agrees to negotiations. However, he warned that if Tehran continues to resist, the United States and its allies would not hesitate to take “very strong action.”
Meanwhile, military activity across the Middle East has increased significantly. Additional American deployments in the Gulf region and rising tensions around key trade routes have triggered concerns within the international community. Analysts believe that any direct confrontation between Washington and Tehran could severely impact global oil markets, shipping routes, and the world economy.
Iran, on the other hand, has dismissed the American statements as “politics of intimidation.” Tehran has reiterated that its nuclear programme is meant for peaceful purposes and declared that it will not compromise on its sovereignty under external pressure.
