Dhaka: Energy cooperation between India and Bangladesh has received a fresh boost as India has started supplying an additional 5,000 tonnes of diesel to the neighbouring country. The shipment is being delivered through the India-Bangladesh Friendship Pipeline, which is expected to support Bangladesh’s fuel supply system.
According to media reports, the diesel consignment is being transported to the Padma Oil Depot in Parbatipur, Bangladesh. Officials stated that a total of around 25,000 tonnes of diesel may be supplied from India during the month of April.
The Friendship Pipeline has opened a new chapter in trade and strategic ties between the two nations. Through this route, fuel supply has become faster, more cost-effective, and smoother than before.
Experts believe that India’s additional diesel supply will not only help meet Bangladesh’s growing energy needs but also further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
