Desk:Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has accused Russia of bombing its own citizens. He claimed that Russia dropped aerial bombs on a boarding school in the Kursk region, where people were preparing to evacuate. Zelensky posted on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “This is how Russia wages war. The Sudzha area of Kursk, which is part of Russian territory, was bombed. People were preparing to leave when the Russian airstrike destroyed the building, where dozens of people were staying.”
Zelensky further stated in his post, “This is the same way Russia waged war against Chechnya decades ago. They did the same thing to the Syrian people. The bombs from Russia are destroying Ukrainian homes. Even against its own citizens, the Russian army is using this strategy.”
This statement by President Zelensky came at a time when Russia launched drone and missile attacks on Ukrainian cities and towns overnight, resulting in six deaths. Russian forces continue to make aggressive advances in eastern Ukraine.
