Nag Panchami Brings Rare Yogas, Special Blessings of Lord Shiva for These 5 Zodiac Signs, Every Wish Will Be Fulfilled

The month of Sawan holds great spiritual significance in Hinduism and is especially dedicated to Lord Shiva. One of the key festivals celebrated during this holy month is Nag Panchami, a day devoted to the worship of Nag Devta (the Serpent Deity), who is believed to be especially dear to Lord Shiva.

According to the Hindu lunar calendar, Nag Panchami is observed every year on the fifth day (Panchami tithi) of the Shukla Paksha (waxing phase of the moon) in the month of Sawan. This day is considered highly auspicious for appeasing Nag Devta, seeking prosperity, and attaining relief from Kaal Sarp Dosh, a significant astrological condition.

When is Nag Panchami in 2025?

In 2025, Nag Panchami will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 29. Devotees believe that worshipping Nag Devta and Lord Shiva on this day brings blessings and protection from evil influences.

Nag Panchami 2025: Puja Timing

As per the Hindu Panchang (calendar), the Panchami tithi will begin at 11:24 PM on July 28, 2025, and will end at 12:46 AM on July 30, 2025.
The auspicious time (puja muhurat) for Nag Panchami Puja is on July 29, 2025, from 5:41 AM to 8:23 AM.

Nag Panchami Mantra

Reciting sacred mantras during the worship enhances the spiritual significance of the ritual. The following mantra is considered particularly auspicious for Nag Panchami:

Sarve Nāgāḥ prīyantāṁ me ye kechit pṛthvītale।
Ye cha helimarīchisthā ye’ntare divi saṁsthitāḥ॥
Ye nadīṣu mahānāgā ye Sarasvatigāminaḥ।
Ye cha vāpītaḍāgeṣu teṣu sarveṣu vai namaḥ॥

This mantra is chanted to honor all serpents—those on Earth, in the skies, rivers, ponds, and sacred water bodies.

Nag Panchami Puja Vidhi (Worship Method)

  1. Wake up early, bathe, and wear clean clothes.
  2. Take a vow (sankalp) to observe the fast with devotion.
  3. Offer milk, water, and belpatra to a Shiva Lingam.
  4. Worship a picture or idol of Nag Devta with offerings of milk, curd, fruits, and sweets.
  5. Chant the Nag Panchami mantra and pray for protection, prosperity, and removal of negative influences.

Nag Panchami not only strengthens one’s spiritual connection with Lord Shiva and Nag Devta but also serves as a reminder of the harmony between humans and nature in Hindu belief.
