As soon as Pakistan raised the Kashmir issue at the United Nations, India strongly rebuked it. Indian diplomat Kshitij Tyagi not only called Pakistan a failed state but also described it as a nation dependent on international aid. During the 58th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, Tyagi fiercely criticized Pakistan, earning widespread appreciation for his bold and factual response.
Kshitij Tyagi’s Strong Statement at the UN
Reacting to Pakistan’s attempt to internationalize the Kashmir issue, Tyagi said,
“It is unfortunate that Pakistan’s so-called leaders and representatives continue to spread lies propagated by their military-backed terrorist organizations.”
He firmly stated that Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh have always been and will always remain an integral part of India. Highlighting the unprecedented political, social, and economic progress in the region over the past few years, he emphasized that the people’s trust in the government’s commitment is evident, as India works towards restoring normalcy in an area once troubled by Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.
Tyagi advised Pakistan to stop spreading hatred against India and instead focus on ensuring good governance and justice for its own citizens.
