Washington : A suspect involved in a shooting incident near the White House has died in hospital after sustaining critical injuries, according to confirmation from U.S. security agencies. Authorities have launched a detailed investigation into the incident.
As per available information, the incident occurred when an individual suddenly opened fire at a security checkpoint near the White House. Personnel from the U.S. Secret Service immediately responded and returned fire to neutralize the threat.
The suspect was critically injured in the exchange and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
