Washington: U.S. President Joe Biden expressed concerns on Tuesday regarding the presence of North Korean troops stationed in Russia’s Kursk region, close to the Ukrainian border. When asked about North Korean troops in the area, Biden confirmed he found their presence troubling.
Biden further emphasized that if these North Korean forces were to cross into Ukrainian territory, Ukraine would have the right to respond with force. “If they cross into Ukraine, yes,” Biden replied when asked if he believed the Ukrainians should retaliate.
The situation highlights rising tensions as North Korean troops are reported near the conflict zone, indicating potential shifts in alliances and involvement in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war. Biden’s remarks underline the United States’ concerns about escalating conflicts and the international implications of additional military forces entering Ukrainian territory.
