Three Missing Indians Rescued in Iran, Kidnappers Arrested

Tehran: The three Indian nationals who went lacking in Iran final month have been rescued, the Iranian Embassy in India confirmed on Tuesday, citing native media studies from Tehran. Final week, India’s Ministry of Exterior Affairs (MEA) had said it was involved with Iranian authorities concerning the case. The three people—Husanpreet Singh from Sangrur, Jaspal Singh from SBS Nagar, and Amritpal Singh from Hoshiarpur—had arrived in Iran on Might 1. They had been reportedly touring via a neighborhood journey agent who had promised them employment alternatives in Australia. Nevertheless, quickly after reaching Tehran, their households alleged that that they had been kidnapped. The abductors reportedly demanded a ransom of ₹50 lakh (round USD 63,000), and even despatched movies and photographs of the victims in a sure and injured state to their households.

Indian Embassy’s Response

The Indian Embassy had taken up the case on Might 28 after receiving studies from the victims’ households. It promptly urged Iranian authorities to launch a right away and thorough investigation.
