Simple Method of Shiva Puja:
- Take a bath and wear clean clothes.
- Perform ritualistic worship of Lord Shiva along with his family and other deities.
- If you intend to fast, take a vow with pure water, flowers, and rice grains in hand.
- In the evening, light a lamp in the temple of your home during the twilight (godhuli) hour.
- Perform abhishek (ritual bathing) of Lord Shiva either in a temple or at home, followed by the proper worship of the Shiva family.
- Listen to the Pradosh Vrat story.
- Offer an oil or ghee lamp with complete devotion during the aarti of Lord Shiva. Chant the mantra Om Namah Shivaya.
