In today’s busy life, balancing health and taste can be a challenge. Achari Black Chickpea Dosa is a perfect solution—it’s not only rich in protein but also incredibly delicious.

Ingredients:

  • Black chickpeas (Kala Chana) – 1 cup (soaked overnight)
  • Rice – 1/2 cup
  • Pickle spice mix (Achari Masala) – 1 tsp (adjust to taste)
  • Green chilies – 2-3 (finely chopped)
  • Ginger – 1-inch piece (grated)
  • Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Oil or ghee – for cooking

Method:

  1. Soak black chickpeas and rice:
    Soak the black chickpeas and rice in water overnight. In the morning, drain and rinse them well. Grind them coarsely in a blender to form a thick batter.
  2. Prepare the batter:
    Mix green chilies, grated ginger, achari masala, coriander powder, and salt into the ground chickpea-rice mixture. If the batter is too thick, add a little water to achieve a dosa-like consistency.
  3. Cooking the dosa:
    Heat a non-stick pan or tawa. Lightly grease with oil and pour a ladle of batter, spreading it in a circular shape. Cook on medium heat until golden brown and crisp on both sides.
  4. Serving suggestion:
    Serve hot with green chutney or your favorite pickle for the best flavor.
