Geneva: World Health Organization (WHO), combating the Covid-19 pandemic, has agreed to consider suggestions for changes to its structure. These suggestions have been made by independent experts for a change in the structure of WHO in controversies related to the pandemic. In these suggestions, it has been recommended to give more powers to the organization. A proposal for a change in the structure and terms of the agreement was tabled by the European Union (EU).

Experts found that the WHO completely failed to detect and prevent the severity of corona virus infection in early 2020. Therefore, WHO should be given such powers that it can reach the affected area immediately for investigation and take immediate prevention measures, sensing the severity of the infection. This will prevent any pandemic from spreading in future.
