Desk: As usual, this month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation through the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program. PM Modi began by wishing all the citizens of the country a happy new year according to the Hindu calendar, Nav Samvatsar. He mentioned that many letters had been sent to him, where people expressed their thoughts in interesting ways. He then read out greetings in various languages, wishing people for the new year. PM Modi emphasized that while these festivals may be celebrated in different states, they convey the same emotions of unity. He said, “These festivals may have different names and customs in different regions, but they show us that we are all one. We need to keep strengthening this spirit of unity.”
PM Modi then addressed the students who had recently completed their exams, giving them a new task. Speaking to the youth, he said, “Many of our young friends have already taken their exams, and in many schools, the new academic year has begun. With summer holidays approaching, this is a time for children to play and relax. However, it is also a time when they can learn something new.” He further suggested that in this era of the internet, children have access to various platforms where they can learn new things, such as tech camps or platforms where they can learn to build open-source apps. He also encouraged them to explore various fields and participate in volunteer activities.
The Prime Minister urged children and institutions to share their activities under the hashtag #Myholiday. Lastly, he spoke about the ‘My Bharat Calendar,’ encouraging citizens to stay connected with the calendar to track important dates and festivals.
