Fullerton Police spokesperson Kristi Wells stated that the incident occurred at 2:09 PM on Thursday in the city of Fullerton, Orange County. Emergency responders and firefighters quickly arrived at the scene, extinguished the flames, and evacuated nearby businesses for safety.
The fire caused damage to a warehouse reportedly containing sewing machines and fabric. Police confirmed that 10 injured individuals were transported to the hospital, while eight others received first aid on-site. The identities of the deceased have been confirmed, but it remains unclear whether the injured were on the plane or in the building at the time of the crash.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reported that the aircraft involved was a single-engine Van’s RV-10, a four-seater model.
