Pakistan Can’t Stand India’s Might

Desk Report: India and Pakistan Face-Off After Pahalgam Terror Attack; Pakistan Appeals for More International Loans

Following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, a chain of escalating events has brought India and Pakistan face-to-face in a tense standoff. Amid growing tensions, Pakistan has issued urgent appeals to countries around the world for increased financial assistance. Using the official social media account of its Finance Department, the Pakistani government claimed that India’s military action has caused significant damage, and therefore, global powers should extend more loans to help Pakistan recover from the crisis.

Tagging international institutions like the World Bank, the Pakistani Finance Department wrote:
“After severe damage caused by a hostile nation, the Government of Pakistan appeals to international partners for greater financial support. Amid rising conflict and plummeting markets, we urge global stakeholders to help de-escalate tensions.”

This plea from Pakistan comes at a time when both nations are teetering on the edge of war. Reports suggest that the Pakistani army has been continuously targeting Indian cities. On Thursday night, Pakistan launched rocket and missile attacks on multiple Indian locations, most of which were intercepted mid-air by India’s robust defense systems.

In retaliation, the Indian armed forces carried out precision strikes, destroying air defense systems in key Pakistani cities, including Lahore.

According to multiple reports, Pakistan has lost several fighter jets while attempting offensive operations against India. Additionally, its multi-million-dollar defense systems in various cities have been decimated. Amidst the ongoing conflict, Pakistan’s already fragile economy is under severe stress, with its stock market witnessing a sharp decline.

Following India’s counter-offensive, dubbed “Operation Sindoor,” Indian authorities made it clear that only terrorist camps were targeted. They also issued a stern warning that any further aggression from Pakistan would be met with a decisive response.
