Desk: Lieutenant General Manoj Kumar Katniyar, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of India’s Western Command, on Thursday issued a stern warning that India will no longer be intimidated by Pakistan’s nuclear threats. He stated that India’s next response will be stronger and more decisive than any previous action.
Speaking at a special felicitation ceremony in Pathankot, General Katniyar explained that the Indian Army’s tactical approach has shifted from mere retaliatory strikes to achieving decisive victories on the ground.
“In Operation Sindoor, we targeted all their terrorist bases. When they retaliated, we destroyed their military and air bases. Afterwards, they sought a ceasefire—not just from us, but from other countries as well. They are not in a position to confront us directly. We are confident that our next response will be even stronger and more decisive than before,” he said.
“The threat is not over yet”
The General stressed that this was not merely a celebration of victory in Operation Sindoor, but a demonstration of operational readiness. “The threat is far from over. This time, the enemy will face a far more powerful blow than before,” he warned.
Addressing repeated cross-border nuclear threats, he described them as a deception stemming from Pakistan’s weakness.
“Sharif wants to restrain us”
Lieutenant General Katniyar further said of Shahbaz Sharif, “He wants to prevent us from taking any firm action. This is a kind of deception that we must respond to. We will not be intimidated by their nuclear threats.”
He cautioned that while India seeks peace, Pakistan’s military leadership continues to engage in conflicts to maintain its relevance and authority. He reiterated that the threat persists and that India’s next strike will be more difficult and decisive than ever.
