New Delhi:In a swift and decisive response to the Pahalgam terror attack, India launched Operation Sindoor, targeting terror infrastructure deep inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The operation eliminated several high-ranking terrorists affiliated with banned outfits Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). The Ministry of Defence has officially released the names of five top terrorists neutralized in the mission.

A senior LeT operative, Abu Jindal was the head of Markaz Taiba in Muridke. His funeral in Pakistan was marked by full military honors, attended by top officials including the Pakistan Army Chief and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. A floral tribute was paid, and the funeral prayer was led by Hafiz Abdul Rauf in a government school. The presence of senior army officers and Punjab Police IG highlighted Pakistan’s open patronage of terrorists.
Hafiz Muhammad Jameel
This Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist was the brother-in-law of Masood Azhar. He was the head of Markaz Subhan Allah in Bahawalpur and played a crucial role in radicalizing Muslim youth and managing terror funding networks.
Mohammad Yusuf Azhar
Another Jaish terrorist and brother-in-law of Masood Azhar, Yusuf was a key trainer in weapons and combat for JeM cadres. He was involved in multiple terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir and was wanted in connection with the 1999 IC-814 hijacking case.

The strike not only eliminated high-value targets but also exposed the nexus between the Pakistani state and terror outfits, underscoring India’s resolve to take the fight to the enemy’s doorstep.
