On the Dot replies to Ravinder Kaur @ Narendra Modi exploits nationalism to distract Indians from a failing economy | Ravinder Kaur | The Guardian
Humans have lot of emotions and jealousy is one of those. I really admire this emotion to be in such abundance in people like you – Ravinder Kaur.
Prime Minister Modi has really done something that people like you are identified now otherwise we would be thinking a journalist writing in The Guardian would be devoid of any biased emotions and will report Free and Fair. Thanks to Mr Modi for aankho se parda hata.
To start with, there are so many facts that can easily put your this written piece into dustbin but I am wondering why it was not done so and was even allowed to publish!!
In 2021, you are still talking about 2002 Gujarat riots and trying to create communal disharmony just because you are in position to write anything. This shows your real agenda. I am Kashmiri Hindu, have you written anything on our plight in last so many years. How can you be such in-human and I am wondering what the management of The Guardian is doing with people like you. Any sensible person can dig out the facts and see why and what happened during this riot. After 06 months the same anti-nationals attacked Akshar Dham Temple in Gujarat but then not a single riot was reported because by that time Mr Modi has identified persons like you !!
Now, coming to your reporting of failing Indian economy. I am sure you are aware but as usual want to hide from your readers that India received a record $81.72 billion of investment during the financial year 2020-21 compared to $74.39 billion in 2019-20. It was also a year when ‘computer hardware and software’ as a category soared ahead of the usual list topper ‘services’; in fact, ‘services’ was bumped off to third position by ‘construction (infrastructure) activities’. For your readers’ knowledge why the interest is growing in construction and infrastructure is because India is looking to spend $1.4 trillion in the coming years in building infrastructure, including roadways whose pace have been hitting the record books. So, here you have FDI coming in the economy with the focus on building the infrastructure which will help the country to grow.
Moreover, you are still shedding crocodile tears on the demonetization. I went and put my cash into my account. Were you expecting me to put my money into your account?? Banks were not ready to open accounts for the 75% of the India Population who earn less than a dollar. Today due to the demonetization step, this population have their bank accounts. This has helped Government of India to transfer the cash to 320 million Indians during pandemic. Previously, middle agents like you used to gulp this money and now you are helpless here as well!!
Its better not to write about anything on linking CAA to majoritarian Hinduism and proving that you are absolutely wrong again!!
I think journalist like you are the reason for The Guardian to ask support as little as $1 to run the show.
