New employment opportunities for 5,000+ doctors & paramedics: PM Modi

Lucknow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated nine medical colleges from Siddharthnagar in Uttar Pradesh. These colleges were inaugurated in the districts of Siddharthnagar, Etah, Hardoi, Pratapgarh, Fatehpur, Deoria, Ghazipur, Mirzapur and Jaunpur.

Launching an attack on the previous governments in Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Has it ever happened before that nine colleges were inaugurated? Its reason is political priorities. Previous governments were only filling their family lockers and earning for themselves. But our priority is to save poor’s money and provide them facilities.”

While addressing the gathering at inaugural event PM Modi said, “Today is a big day for east Uttar Pradesh and entire state. The day marks a double dose of healthcare infrastructure. More than 5,000 new doctors and para medics will now be available. Dream of pursuing medical education will now be a reality for youth of eastern Uttar Pradesh.”

Prime Minister Modi said, “Earlier, Purvanchal’s image was ruined by previous governments, it was defamed because of ‘dimagi’ fever. The same region will now infuse new hopes. People of Uttar Pradesh can’t forget how Yogi ji had highlighted about Uttar Pradesh’s poor medical system in Parliament, despite not being a Chief Minister.”

“With the construction of nine new medical colleges, about 2,500 new beds have been created, new employment opportunities have been created for more than 5,000 doctors and paramedics”, added Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Additionally, the PMO said critical care services will be available in all the districts of the country with more than five lakh population through exclusive critical care hospital blocks, while the remaining districts will be covered through referral services.

People will have access to a full range of diagnostic services in the public healthcare system through a network of laboratories across the country, and integrated public health labs will be set up in all the districts. Under PMASBY, a national institution for one health, four new national institutes for virology, a regional research platform for WHO South East Asia Region, nine biosafety level-III laboratories, five new regional national centre for disease control will be set up, the PMO said.
