New Delhi: The relationship between India and Nepal for the past several months is not the same as it used to be. After the disputed map was approved in the Nepali parliament, relations between the two countries deteriorated for some time, but then gradually efforts were made to get the relationship back on track. After suffering from the corona virus pandemic, Nepal had to depend on India, which showed the importance of India to the neighboring country. At the same time, Nepal also came to know the reality of long-standing efforts by China. Nepal, which has fully understood the conspiracies of the dragon, is now set to give China a crushing blow. Actually, Nepal Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali is going to visit India soon. In this tour, there is also a possibility of an agreement on getting vaccine from India. Sources aware of the matter said that the Nepalese foreign minister will visit Delhi on 14 January. He will participate in the sixth Nepal-India Joint Commission meeting with Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar here.
During his visit, Gyawali hopes to get a clear commitment from New Delhi to supply more than 12 million doses of the Corona vaccine produced in India. However, Nepal also had an offer to supply the Sinovac vaccine from China.
However, after talking to the Indian authorities, Nepalese officials said that KP Oli’s government wants to supply vaccine from New Delhi.
Nepal’s ambassador to India Nilamber Acharya has already held several rounds of meetings with Indian vaccine manufacturers and government officials. His last meeting was on Tuesday with Dr V Krishna Mohan, executive director of Bharat Biotech that is producing the indigenously-developed Covid 19 vaccine.
