Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation through his monthly radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on Sunday. This was the last ‘Mann Ki Baat’ address of the year 2020.
In the previous edition of the monthly radio program, PM Modi had emphasised on strong, vibrant and active alumni network, and urged educational institutions to adopt innovative methods and develop creative platforms for engagement with alumni.
The Prime Minister said that a strong vibrant and active alumni network is needed not only in big Colleges and Universities but also in schools of our villages.

• One of the resolves for 2021 is to get India rid of single use plastic.
• From Gurugram to Karnataka, there are people whose passion towards a cleaner environment is outstanding. Their efforts are both innovating and inspiring
• The key to learning is to have inquisitiveness.
• We remember the noble teachings in the sacred Gita. One of the things the sacred Gita teaches us is to keep learning.
• In May this year, the Kashmiri saffron was given the Geographical Indication Tag or GI tag. Through this, we want to make Kashmiri saffron a globally popular brand
• India’s youth is blessed with ‘Can Do’ spirit and ‘Will Do’ approach.
• Not only leopards, but population of tigers, lions and forest cover of the country have also increased. It is not due to government efforts, but several people and organisations are working towards conservation of all these things. All of them deserve our appreciation.
• I am now going to share a news which will make you feel proud: India has seen 60% increase in population of leopards, from 2014 to 2018
• We pay tributes to the brave Chaar Sahibzaade, we remember Mata Gujri, we recall the greatness of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
• We remain indebted to these greats for their sacrifices and their spirit of compassion.
• We take new year resolution every year, this time, we should do it for our country. We should for with thought of zero effect, zero defect.
• Vocal for Local is resonating in every house today. And the manufacturers should come forward, with a commitment that there will be no compromise in quality.
• There were challenges, but we learnt new lessons. We saw the spirit of Aatmanirbhar Bharat in 2020.
• In all the messages that I have received, there is a common thread: People have appreciated the collective power and unity of the country
