Desk:In response to recent attacks by Pakistan and PoK targeting military installations in India, Operation Sindoor has been initiated to neutralize terrorist hubs in both countries. Last night, Pakistan attempted strikes on 15 military sites, including Pathankot, but were thwarted by Indian forces. India’s S-400 air defense system rendered Pakistani missiles inactive. Subsequently, India retaliated by targeting Pakistan’s air defense systems in Lahore using drones. Sources report heavy damage to Pakistan’s HQ-9 missile launchers.
On the nights of May 7-8, Pakistan utilized drones and missiles in an unsuccessful attempt to strike military installations across northern and western India, including Avantipura, Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Adampur, Bhatinda, Chandigarh, Nal, Falodi, and Uttarlai. These attacks were effectively countered by India’s Counter UAS grid and air defense systems. Recovered evidence from these attacks is confirming Pakistani aggression.
In response to Pakistani assaults, the Indian Army targeted air defense radars and systems in several locations in Pakistan on Thursday morning. India has adopted a strategy of matching Pakistan’s aggression tit for tat, as evidenced by their retaliatory strikes targeting Lahore’s air defense systems. Pakistan has escalated artillery and mortar shelling across sectors like Kupwara, Baramulla, Uri, Poonch, Mendhar, and Rajouri in Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in casualties, including three women and five children. India is taking responsive measures to halt Pakistani shelling, stressing its commitment to de-escalation provided Pakistan reciprocates.
The government emphasizes that the Indian Army aims to deter escalation, provided Pakistan respects this commitment.
