Tel Aviv – Israel has killed Yahya Sinwar, the Supreme Commander of Hamas, in a drone strike on Thursday. Israel confirmed that Sinwar was targeted and eliminated in a precise attack. After his death, images of Sinwar have gone viral on social media, along with videos depicting the strike.
In a major announcement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has offered Hamas a path to end the war. He stated that the conflict could cease as early as tomorrow if Hamas agrees to lay down its arms and release all Israeli hostages. Netanyahu declared, “If Hamas accepts our offer, the war will end tomorrow.”
Israel has maintained that Sinwar was the mastermind behind the brutal attacks on October 7, 2023. Sharing a video of his death, Netanyahu posted on X (formerly Twitter), “Yahya Sinwar is dead. Our brave soldiers took him down in Rafah. This is not the end of the war on Gaza, but rather the beginning of the end of Hamas. My message to the people of Gaza is simple – the war can end tomorrow if Hamas surrenders and releases our captives.”
Along with Sinwar’s death, Israel claimed that two other high-ranking terrorists were also killed in the strike. Netanyahu revealed that Hamas still holds 101 Israeli hostages in Gaza, many of whom are civilians from 23 different countries. He vowed to secure their safe release, saying, “Israel is willing to do whatever it takes to bring our people back home. We guarantee the safe release of all the hostages.”
Issuing a stern warning to Hamas militants, Netanyahu added, “Israel believes in justice. We will not spare anyone who has committed atrocities against our people.”
