Ingredients for Gujarati-style Peanut Chikki:
- 200 grams peanuts
- 1 cup jaggery
- 1 cup milk
- 8-10 cashews
- 1 cup milk powder
Recipe for Gujarati-style Peanut Chikki:
- First, dry roast the peanuts well. Then remove their skins by rubbing them together.
- Take the roasted and peeled peanuts in a grinder jar, and add 1 cup of milk powder and 8-10 cashews. Grind everything together to make a fine powder.
- In a pan, add milk and bring it to a boil. Turn off the gas flame.
- Add the jaggery to the hot milk and stir well until the jaggery melts.
- Turn the gas flame back on and add the prepared peanut and cashew powder mixture. Stir the mixture continuously with a spatula until it begins to release ghee and starts to separate from the pan.
- Grease a plate or tray with a little ghee and spread the prepared mixture evenly.
- Garnish the chikki with finely chopped pistachios on top.
