Washington: The current US President Donald Trump suffered a major setback when US separate courts put a full stop on Trump’s election campaign and his supporters’ attempts to reverse presidential election results in four states – Georgia, Michigan, Nevada and Wisconsin.
District Judge James Russell said during a hearing in Nevada court on Friday, the entire case, challenging the results of presidential elections is dismissed altogether. He said that Trump had failed to provide reliable and relevant evidence to fight against the results of the elections. The same, Michigan court also dismissed Trump’s appeal.
The court said that if Trump was concerned about the rigging in the elections, then he should have acted according to the state law which he did not do. In addition, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Georgia also rejected the Trump campaign’s appeal. President Donald Trump and his legal team actually claimed that Dominion voting machines were programmed to rig the election in favor of Democratic candidate Joe Biden.
