New Delhi: The Indian government has provided details about “Operation Sindoor”. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, along with two senior female military officers, stated that India has retaliated against the Pulwama terrorist attack. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri mentioned that the Pulwama attack in 2008 was the largest since the Mumbai attacks, resulting in a significant number of civilian casualties. He attributed this attack to Lashkar-e-Taiba, an organization operated from Pakistan. He emphasized that the responsibility for this attack was taken by the Resistance Force, an affiliate of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad.
The Indian government stated that Pakistan made significant efforts to remove any mention of this organization from United Nations Security Council statements, proving its connection to the group responsible for the attack. Vikram Misri highlighted Pakistan’s global recognition as a haven for terrorism. He mentioned that India had taken several tough measures, including halting the Indus Waters Treaty on April 23, to prevent such attacks but received no action from Pakistan against terrorists.
In such a situation, India deemed it necessary to respond to cross-border terrorist attacks, targeting terrorist facilities directly. They had previously informed Pakistan about terrorist hideouts operating from its soil without any action being taken. In this scenario, India exercised its right to eliminate terrorist conspiracies directed against it.
