Our minds are extremely powerful and that our thinking affects our daily actions. Each person creates his/her own version of reality and, if we really want to, we have the ability to change these realities to get rid of self-imposed limitations. Affirmation Art is a self-help strategy used to promote self-confidence and belief in your own abilities.

The definition of affirmation is the act of confirming something to be true, or is a written or oral statement that confirms something is true. An example of affirmation is reminding a child that she is smart.

Affirmation Art includes short, positive statements with different images/ colours/ design patterns/ symbols etc. that declare specific goals as if they are already happening or have already been completed. If repeated consistently, they have a profound effect on the conscious and subconscious mind. They help you live a life of positivity, gratitude and mindfulness. Affirmation Art fire the will to focus and persevere towards goal realisation and enable positive thoughts to permeate your subconscious.

The Affirmation Art Process |

Creating a Well-Formed Belief Statement:
⦁ Write in the first person (use “I…” ).
⦁ Use present tense.
⦁ Use only positive statements. If you see an affirmation that has words like “don’t,” “can’t” or “won’t,” it’s not a statement you’ll want to repeat.
⦁ Keep it short.
⦁ Affirmations are spoken as statements of fact and truth. Statements that contain words like “might” and “could” aren’t nearly as powerful as statements that contain words like “am” and “do.”
⦁ Make it emotionally meaningful to you. It should “feel” right.

Examples: I am loved. I believe in my dreams. I am worthy.

Write them down, paint them and post them somewhere visible in your home. Keep a copy of them in your pocket or phone. Put your affirmation art where you can see it. Repeat the phrases throughout the day.

Make it a habit and try to say them at the same time every day. Feel the feelings of these affirmations being factual. Feel what the new, improved you looks and feels like.

Smile when you say them! Know the positive self-talk brings positive results.

Creating an art, using your creativity and regular repetition of affirming statements about yourself can encourage your brain to take these positive affirmations as fact. When you truly believe you can do something, your actions often follow.

Always remember, affirmation art strengthens your confidence by reminding you of what you can do right now.

So, creating an affirmation specifically tailored to your goals may work best.

Negative thoughts, comparison and insecurity always pop up from time to time. We’re only human, right?

We need to set up mechanisms that will help us snap out of the negativity and keep us happy and productive!
So, take the affirmation challenge, create your own affirmation art and feel the magic.
