New Delhi: The speed of the corona virus pandemic is accelerating once again in India, but the good thing is that we are moving in a very positive way with the corona vaccine. Several vaccine manufacturers are in the final stages of testing. If all goes well, people may get a vaccine in India in the end of January or early February. Not only this, the government is also planning to benefit people of every section of the society. The Prime Minister recently said that we are working on a plan from vaccine storage to distribution.
If the vaccine arrives by February, Corona Warriors will be vaccinated first. These include doctors, nurses and municipal employees. The possibility of the vaccine coming up by February has been reinforced as India plans to give Serum Institute of India (SII) emergency use approval for the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine candidate soon after it gets similar approval in the UK.
The Serum Institute of India will need to apply for emergency use. It is likely that the company will apply for it in December. The Central Government is finalizing a contract with the vaccine manufacturers for the purchase of vaccine supplements. An official source said that the government has talked to these companies to buy the vaccine in bulk at a better price. The government is planning to buy MRP for a two-shot vaccine at half the price that can be close to Rs 500-600.
Officials associated with this case say that if everything goes according to plan, then we are hoping that by January-February the vaccine will come to India.
