Beetroot Oats Cheela Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup instant oats
- 1 cup semolina (suji)
- 1 beetroot
- 2 green chilies
- A piece of ginger
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- Water
- Salt to taste
- Oil
Method:
- First, peel, wash, and boil the beetroot.
- Dry roast the oats in a pan until they turn golden brown.
- Let the oats cool down, then grind them with semolina in a mixer to make a fine powder.
- In the mixer, add the boiled beetroot, green chilies, ginger, cumin seeds, and a little water to make a paste.
- In a bowl, combine the oats powder with the beetroot paste, add salt, and mix in some water to form a batter.
- Let the batter rest for five minutes.
- Heat a tawa (griddle) and add some oil. Spread the batter evenly to make the cheela. Cook on both sides until golden brown.
