Balochistan: Homes Demolished Near ISI, Curfew Imposed

Desk: The Pakistani Army has demolished multiple houses in the Kaziabad area of Nushki district, Balochistan, near the ISI headquarters. According to reports by Balochistan Post, residents of these homes were issued notices several days ago, instructing them to vacate their properties. The notices warned that if the houses were not vacated within the stipulated time, the buildings would be razed.

Over the past few days, the army has demolished several homes using explosives and heavy machinery. It is believed that these structures posed a potential threat to the ISI headquarters, prompting their demolition.

Among the demolished houses is reportedly the ancestral home of Bashir Zeb Baloch, a leader of the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA). Several homes of political figures were also affected. This action comes after the BLA launched “Operation Heraaf” on January 31, during which it carried out attacks in multiple cities and inflicted significant losses on Pakistani forces.

Locals in Kaziabad have stated that a daily curfew will be imposed after 6 PM. Security forces have warned that the curfew will remain in effect until residents hold pro-Pakistan rallies and hoist Pakistani flags at their homes. This directive also applies to financial institutions in the area.

Experts say that the BLA had surrounded Nushki city, dealing a major blow to Pakistan. In response, the Pakistani government and military took strict measures to ensure security. The potential threat to the ISI headquarters is also cited as a major reason for this action.

Reports indicate that buildings in other areas, including Kachhi and Gwadar, have also been demolished, reflecting Pakistan’s growing security concerns in Balochistan.
