Desk: Operation Sindoor – Pakistan was left bewildered on Thursday evening when simultaneous drone and missile attacks struck several cities across three states from Jammu to Pathankot and up to Jaisalmer. However, Indian security forces thwarted their plans. Indian armed forces obliterated Pakistani missiles and drones using the S-400 air defense system. Now, India has surrounded Pakistan from all sides – land, sky, and sea – in retaliation for this nefarious act.
Media reports suggest that India has given a robust response to Pakistan on one side of the LoC, and also launched strikes in Lahore. While not officially confirmed, reports indicate that the Indian Navy has taken retaliatory action, striking Karachi port and strategic positions connected to it. This naval action has caused tremors in Karachi, dealing a significant blow to Pakistan’s maritime security.
This marks the first instance of Indian Navy strikes on Karachi since the 1971 India-Pakistan war. Through these strikes and encirclement, India has made it clear to Pakistan that it is fully prepared to respond firmly on every front. Earlier, Indian security forces foiled Pakistani attempts on Thursday night targeting various major Indian establishments including military stations in Jammu, Pathankot, and Udhampur using drones and missiles.
Officials from the Ministry of Defense stated that Indian armed forces effectively countered Pakistani drones and missiles using kinetic and non-kinetic capabilities, swiftly neutralizing threats. They confirmed no casualties or damage to infrastructure. The Defense Ministry emphasized, “India is fully prepared to defend its sovereignty and ensure the safety of its people.”
In a retaliatory move on Thursday morning, India targeted Kamikaze drones and neutralized Pakistani air defense systems in Lahore. The Ministry stated that Pakistani forces attempted to target areas including Avantipura, Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Adampur, Bhatinda, Chandigarh, Nal, Falodi, and Utarlai. Indian armed forces also targeted air defense radars and systems in multiple locations in Pakistan and rendered a air defense system in Lahore ‘ineffective’. This attempt by Pakistan comes at a time when Indian forces under ‘Operation Sindoor’ launched precise missile attacks on nine terrorist hubs in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and Pakistan.
