Tehran : Iran’s Supreme Leader has called upon Muslim-majority countries to strengthen unity and enhance cooperation to collectively address the political, economic, and social challenges confronting the Islamic world.
According to reports from Iranian state media, the Supreme Leader emphasized that internal divisions among Muslim nations have weakened their collective strength and stressed the need for greater solidarity to deal with ongoing regional crises.
He urged Islamic countries to move beyond political differences and work towards a coordinated framework that prioritises shared interests, including regional stability, economic progress, and humanitarian cooperation. He also underscored the importance of independent decision-making by Muslim nations free from external influence.
The statement comes at a time of heightened geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, with several conflicts continuing to strain relations between regional powers. Analysts suggest the remarks reflect Iran’s continued efforts to project itself as a key advocate of Islamic unity and regional collaboration.
Observers further note that Iran has consistently positioned itself in favour of greater cooperation among Muslim countries, particularly on issues related to regional security and the Palestinian question. The latest appeal is seen as a continuation of that diplomatic stance amid shifting alignments in the region.
